is there any paternity leave for 2weeks in haryana like that in punjab? if yes can some one provide information?

dear friend, there is no paternity leave for haryana government employees.And i assume that since you are interested in maternity/paternity linked issues, you are either a new parent or expecting a new addition to your family.And if that is indeed the case, perhaps you can very well understand that adoption is a very sensitive matter, and anything connected with it can not be termed a 'joke'.or rather it should not be.Please use discretion when discussing such things on a public forum.Wishing you all the best.

Paternity Leave- (1) A male Government employee with less than two surviving children, may be granted paternity leave by an authority competent to grant leave for a period of 15 days, during the confinement of his wife for child birth, i.e. up to 15 days before, or up to six months from the date of delivery of the child.
ReplyDelete(2) During such period of 15 days, he shall be paid leave salary equal to pay drawn immediately before proceeding on leave.
(3) The Paternity Leave may be combined with leave of any other kind.
(4) The Paternity Leave shall not be debited against the leave account.
(5) If Paternity Leave is not availed of within the period specified in sub-rule (1), such leave
shall be treated as lapsed.
Note.- The Paternity Leave shall not normally be refused under any circumstances.

Deletethe link for that is provided on this website also, on the home page.they are the proposed rules.they contain many changes that are proposed and comments have been invited on them.they may take many months to be finalized and get implemented.what is the actual rules that are applicable as on this date?
